Events
Q. I'm having an event at the winery, my sister is a chef and she said she would provide the food. Can we bring in our food?
A. We don't allow any outside food, but we use the Venezia Restaurant which is on our property, Chef Gianni Caruso brings an authentic Italian approach to our events, with 30 years of hands-on experience diverse Italian, English, and American kitchens.
We do allow cakes and specialty desserts to be brought in from certified outside vendors/ bakeries. Any outside specialty caterers must be licensed and insured and must be approved by The Boston Winery 2 weeks prior to your event date.
Q. Can I just rent your space without catering?
A. A minimum food and beverage revenue amount will be assigned to your booking and included in your contract. Minimums vary based on the day of the week, time of the day, time of the year, and date of the booking. Your sales manager will review revenue requirements with you.
Q. I booked an event at your venue, are kids allowed?
A. That's not a problem, but please be aware guests in question will be ID'd by Boston Winery staff. Underage drinking puts our entire production facility at risk of license violations and will not be tolerated at Boston Winer. It happens occasionally at weddings and events that guests will order drinks and attempt to pass them off to underage guests. If we see that happen we have no choice but to stop all alcohol service for the duration of the event.
Q. Do you have an onsite event planner?
A. At The Boston Winery we want to make your event planning as easy as possible. We do have an on site event planner that will walk you through the whole planning process. Whether it is a birthday party, wedding or corporate gathering our event planner will help you navigate through all of the planning details.
Q. Do you provide AV?
A. While we do have a smart TV that can be used for presentations and speakers throughout the winery for background music all other audio visual needs would require an outside vendor. We do have contacts on our preferred vendor list for AV needs.
Q. What kind of events do you host?
A. We have event packages and catering menus to accommodate a variety of group sizes and events styles. Whether you are planning a wedding, birthday party, corporate event or cocktail reception our space can be transformed to fit your needs.
Q. Do you have a minimum for your private event space?
A. We do recommend having a minimum of 25 guests for our private event space. Our venue can accommodate a maximum of 120 guests. Depending on the size of your group we have packages and space to fit a variety of event needs.
Tastings
Q. What is the requirement for a tasting? Can you do a personal tasting with just people? Would I need to make a reservation?
A. We do require a reservation for wine tastings. Depending on our event schedule our space can be limited and our wine tasting schedule can vary. We do have packages for groups of 30 or more that include appetizers and private tours based on availability, reach out to our events team for more information.
Q. What is the price for a tasting? Is it per person? Do you give a group discount? What is included in a wine tasting?
A. Wine tastings are $21 per person, it includes 5 tastings followed by a tour of the winery. We do not provide group discounts. Tastings can be booked directly through our website which has or most up to date availability.
Q. How often do you do tours and how long to they take? Do they cost extra?
A. Tours are included with your wine tasting. We offer a tour of the wine making facility every hour. The tours typically take 20-30 minutes with time for questions at the end.
Q. How long does a wine tasting typically last?
A. We book our wine tastings by the hour, and offer tours once an hour based on our reservations. While tastings are done at your own pace the process typically takes 1 hour.
Q. Can I purchase food during my wine tasting? Can I bring food with me?
A. We do not allow any outside food or beverage on site. We do not have a restaurant on site, and we can only provide catering for private events booked in advance.
