Lisa’s Passion for Popcorn is a business with all of the characteristics that we admire: heart, creativity, and passion. Popcorn and wine may seem like an unlikely pair, but you’ll see that there’s more to the business than the product itself, and you’ll be delighted by this unlikely pair!

All in the Family
Lisa’s Passion for Popcorn is known for its creativity in flavor profiles, but their first flavor was a fourth-generation family recipe. Caramel Popcorn was a Call family favorite, and Lisa Call brought it to the public at her dad’s movie theater, a setting where popcorn is the star of the show!
In 1984, Lisa took the family recipe to the big time. She made it into a business with delicious new recipes that eventually wowed local snackers. When he was 25, her son Zack bought the company and opened up four storefronts to spread the tasty, inventive flavors around for more people to enjoy.
Giving Back
Zack took over the business when he was 25 years old with his wife to keep his mom’s passion alive. But before he bought the company, Zack was a karate teacher, and he was passionate about teaching. His love of teaching encouraged him to start the charity Pop Open a Book. To facilitate children to read, Zack would collect books in the name of Lisa’s Popcorn and donate them to Title 1 elementary schools. Zack would read the books to the kids and give them popcorn to get them excited to read. It turns out that books pair well with popcorn too!
The Creativity

Lisa always had a flair for making popcorn flavors pop with fun! Her creativity started with wholesale-priced Christmas-themed popcorn that she would share with her friends. She created unforgettable flavors like their number one bestseller: White Chocolate and Rootbeer Float!
The creativity doesn’t stop with the flavors, though; Lisa and her family encouraged everyone to be creative themselves with their Popcorn Bar. Patrons were able to build their popcorn with toppings like chocolate syrup and sprinkles! Talk about an unforgettable experience!

Lisa and her family’s passion for popcorn live on through the people who work at Lisa’s Passion for Popcorn stores. Tanner Stone recently took over Lisa’s Popcorn stores, and he says people love the popcorn so much that they work at the stores just for the 50% discount!
