Start Your Patio Season Right with Our 5 Favorite Wine Cocktails
It's a crime to be on the patio without a drink in your hand! For the commencement of patio season at Boston Winery, we are listing our favorite wine cocktails, feeling thirsty?
1. Peruvian Mule
1 ½ ounces Pisco (Peruvian Brandy)
2 ounces Mala Femmina
3 ounces of Ginger Beer
½ ounce of lime juice
This delicious cocktail is a lighter, and a much-improved version (if we do say so ourselves) of the Moscow Mule. Our Mala Femmina is a blend that is a favorite of Pinot Grigio drinkers. The dryness of this wine plays well with the sweetness of the Piso and spicy ginger beer. Stir this cocktail and pour over ice in a copper mug!
2. Sparkling Strawberry Daiquiri
3 ounces of Brachetto
1 ½ ounces of Lime Juice
2 muddled Strawberries
1 squeeze of Simple Syrup
If you enjoy classic cocktails, then you'll love this spin on the classic daiquiri! Muddle the strawberries in a tin, add the lime juice and simple syrup with some ice and shake it up! Pour with the ice and strawberries into your favorite wine glass and stir in some sweet Brachetto! You can prepare this sweet classic ahead of time in a pitcher if you're expecting company, too.
3. The Noir Sour
2 ounces Boston Winery Pinot Noir
1 ounce of your Whiskey of choice
1 ounce of Lemon juice
1 ounce of Lime juice
1 ounce of OJ
1 squeeze of Simple Syrup
Are you looking for a boozier cocktail to get the job done? How about a classic New York Sour with a tasty Red? Stir your juices, simple syrup, and whiskey together in a rocks glass with ice. Grab a spoon and flip it upside down over the glass, then gently pour Boston Winery Pinot Noir over the spoon to float. Enjoy the sour and smoky flavors of this cocktail day or night on your patio.
4. Brachetto Snow Cone
1 Scoop of Shaved Ice
1 ounce of Berry Vodka
2 ounces of Brachetto
1 Squeeze of Lemon juice
1 Squeeze of Simple Syrup
Here's a cocktail to bring you back to your childhood! Grind some ice in a food processor or blender, scoop into a glass of your choice. Shake your simple syrup, berry vodka, and lemon juice - get it nice and cold! Pour this over your scoop of ice and add your Black Dog Brachetto after. You can sip this cocktail or add a spoon to get all that slushy goodness!
5. Shark Bite Lemonade
2 ounces of Shark in the Pond
1 ounce of Aperol
1 ½ ounces of lemonade
Watch out! This cocktail has a bite to it! Choose your favorite glass, stir with ice, your Aperol, Black Dog Shark in the Pond, and lemonade and enjoy. This cocktail is the perfect balance of bitter, sour, and sweet!
